Roger Golland OBE (Chair)
Roger Golland spent 32 years in the Diplomatic Service. He was in Turkey during the last military coup, in Hungary shortly before the fall of the Iron Curtain, in Argentina during the renegotiation of diplomatic relations and in Brussels during the Kosovo conflict. He later held posts leading on counter-narcotics, financial planning and training, before a final assignment as a Director responsible for Europe and economic matters. Since 2010 he has been business development director for a Westminster-based consultancy and training company. Roger's interests include sustainable development, environmental conservation, reform of drugs policies, and organisational leadership.

Jolene Crawford
In 2009 Jolene co-founded Transform Drug Policy Foundation Scotland with her cousin, Katrina Robertson. In addition to challenging the Scottish government over its approach to dealing with drug abuse and drug-related crime, TDPF Scotland is promoting alternative, evidence-based drug policies throughout the country.

Mark Dunn
Mark Dunn is a former Vice President of Global Marketing and Senior Director of Strategic Planning at EMI Music and an MBA graduate from Edinburgh University Management School. Since 2006, Mark has worked as a consultant to a number of SMEs in London and Bristol. His specialisms include Strategic Planning, Leadership Coaching and Marketing Strategy. Mike Jay
As an author, broadcaster and historian, Mike has written extensively on history and culture of drug use and current drug policy. Author of 'Emperors of Dreams: Drugs in the Nineteenth Century' and editor of the standard Penguin anthology of drug literature, 'Artificial Paradises', Mike also writes for drug policy journals including Druglink and the International Journal of Drug Policy, and appears regularly on BBC TV, Channel 4, Radio 3 and Radio 4. He is the former chairman of the Drug Policy Review Group.

Axel Klein
Axel is a lecturer in the study of addictive behaviour at theUniversity of Kent, with particular interest in the cultural contexts of drug use, the interplay of drugs and crime, and the development of drug policy at national and international level. He has worked in different capacities with the European Commission, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the European Monitoring Centre on Drugs and Drug Addiction and the Department for International Development. He has authored numerous articles and books, including 'Caribbean Drugs: from criminalization to Harm Reduction', and the forthcoming 'The Khat Controversy: stimulating the debate on drugs'.

David Seymour
Former political editor of the Mirror Group, he has also worked for the Daily Mail. David still writes political commentary. Three years ago he produced a guide for journalists on reporting poverty in the UK, funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

He has just edited a new report produced by UKDPC entitled 'Dealing with the stigma of Drugs; A guide for journalists', which you can find online.

James Varty
James has worked in the substance misuse treatment field for both statutory and non-statutory agencies over the past 8 years, and has a BHSc (hons) in Addictions from Leeds University. Currently residing in Cardiff, James works as development and quality manager for Kaleidoscope, a substance misuse treatment agency who provide a range of services in England and Wales.

Gary Wallace
Gary has worked in the drug field for 20 odd years. He has been a practitioner, manager, researcher and commissioner. He is currently the DAAT manager for Plymouth, a position he has held for the last six years.

Henry Warren
Henry is a social entrepreneur who specialises in using IT and innovation to tackle social problems. He was previously the founder of Rafi.ki (now part of Taking It Global) and the Head of Innovation at GEMS. He currently owns a charity fundraising company (Foolish Fundraising), an education technology company (Cribbd.com) and is a consultant to a variety of companies on innovation and product development.

John Whitaker
After 25 years in marketing and business services including Marketing Director of A C Nielsen and Managing Director at AGB, John spent twelve years as Deputy Director of Oxfam GB. He has worked with charities, companies and government bodies and is currently Chair of BUILD, the Ethical Property Foundation and the International Broadcasting Trust; and on the boards of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, Nacro and the Ethical Property Company.
